Ingredients
  

  • 3 large carrots
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp liquid smoke optional

Method
 

  1. Wash and peel carrots.
  2. Use a vegetable peeler to slice thin carrot ribbons.
  3. In a bowl mix olive oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and liquid smoke.
  4. Toss carrot strips in the marinade and let sit 5–10 minutes.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Arrange carrot strips in a single layer in the basket.
  7. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Remove and let cool for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Slice carrots thin for the best crispy texture.
  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.
  • Watch closely after 6 minutes to prevent burning.
  • Carrot bacon becomes crispier as it cools after cooking.
