Ingredients
  

  • Dough
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Baking Soda Bath
  • 4 cups water
  • ¼ cup baking soda
  • Topping
  • Coarse salt
  • Melted butter optional

Method
 

  1. Mix warm water and sugar; add yeast and rest 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, salt, and butter; knead into soft dough.
  3. Rest dough 20–30 minutes.
  4. Roll dough into ropes and cut into bites.
  5. Boil water and baking soda.
  6. Boil bites 30 seconds; drain.
  7. Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
  8. Arrange bites in basket; brush with butter and salt.
  9. Air fry 7–9 minutes, shaking halfway.
  10. Serve warm with dip.

Notes

  • Don’t skip the baking soda bath
  • Avoid overcrowding
  • Best served warm
  • Brush butter after cooking for shine
