Ingredients
  

  • 2 8-ounce blocks tempeh
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • BBQ Glaze
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Method
 

  1. Slice tempeh into ½-inch strips.
  2. Steam for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix marinade ingredients.
  4. Marinate tempeh 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
  6. Cook 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  7. Brush with glaze.
  8. Cook 3–4 more minutes until caramelized.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Steam tempeh before marinating.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
  • Flip halfway for even crispiness.
  • Use smoked paprika for best flavor.
