Ingredients
  

  • 1 block extra-firm tofu pressed
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ cup panko
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Press tofu for 20–30 minutes.
  2. Tear or cut tofu into nugget shapes.
  3. Mix marinade ingredients and coat tofu.
  4. Mix panko, cornstarch, and spices.
  5. Coat tofu pieces in the mixture.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 390°F.
  7. Air fry 10 minutes, flip, then cook another 8–10 minutes.
  8. Serve immediately with dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Pressing the tofu is the key to crispiness.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer, or they’ll turn soft.
  • Panko makes them extra crunchy.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and re-crisp in the air fryer.
