Method
- Press tofu for 20–30 minutes.
- Tear or cut tofu into nugget shapes.
- Mix marinade ingredients and coat tofu.
- Mix panko, cornstarch, and spices.
- Coat tofu pieces in the mixture.
- Preheat air fryer to 390°F.
- Air fry 10 minutes, flip, then cook another 8–10 minutes.
- Serve immediately with dipping sauces.
Notes
- Pressing the tofu is the key to crispiness.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer, or they’ll turn soft.
- Panko makes them extra crunchy.
- Store leftovers in the fridge and re-crisp in the air fryer.
