Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
- Add bread cubes to dish and spread evenly.
- Whisk eggs, milk, cream, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and caramel sauce.
- Pour custard over bread and press gently. Rest 15–20 minutes.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and just set.
- Drizzle with warm caramel before serving.
Notes
- Use slightly stale bread for best texture
- Don’t overbake—center should jiggle slightly
- Add caramel after baking for deeper flavor
