Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Stuffed Donuts

Ingredients
  

  • Donut Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • tsp active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Filling
  • 10 –12 mini peanut butter cups
  • Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • For Frying
  • Oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tbsp sugar. Let foam.
  2. Add flour, sugar, salt, butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix to form dough.
  3. Knead 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let rise 1–1½ hours.
  5. Roll dough and cut circles.
  6. Place peanut butter cup in center of half the circles.
  7. Top with remaining circles and seal edges.
  8. Rise 20–30 minutes.
  9. Fry at 350°F until golden on both sides.
  10. Dip in chocolate glaze and top with peanut butter cup pieces.

Notes

  • Freeze peanut butter cups before stuffing for cleaner results.
  • Seal the dough edges tightly so the filling stays inside.
  • Use a thermometer to keep oil at 350°F.
  • Glaze while warm for best texture.
