Creamy Garlic Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz pasta fettuccine, penne, or linguine
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 –8 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt adjust to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and drain.
  2. Melt butter in a large pan over medium-low heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently for 5–7 minutes.
  5. Lower heat and slowly stir in Parmesan cheese.
  6. Add pasta and reserved water as needed to loosen sauce.
  7. Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for best flavor
  • Don’t boil the cream
  • Add cheese off heat
  • Pasta water helps fix sauce texture
