Method
- Press tofu for 30 minutes.
- Cut into ½-inch thick batons.
- Toss in cornstarch, rice flour, and spices.
- Bake at 425°F for 35–40 minutes (flip halfway) or air fry at 400°F for 15–18 minutes.
- Simmer sauce ingredients 3–4 minutes.
- Toss crispy tofu in warm sauce.
- Garnish and serve immediately.
Notes
- Extra-firm tofu works best.
- Pressing tofu improves crispiness dramatically.
- Toss in sauce right before serving.
- Reheat in oven or air fryer, not microwave.
