Ingredients
  

  • Tofu
  • 2 14 oz blocks extra-firm tofu
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • Gochujang Sauce
  • 3 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Optional: sesame seeds green onions

Method
 

  1. Press tofu for 30 minutes.
  2. Cut into ½-inch thick batons.
  3. Toss in cornstarch, rice flour, and spices.
  4. Bake at 425°F for 35–40 minutes (flip halfway) or air fry at 400°F for 15–18 minutes.
  5. Simmer sauce ingredients 3–4 minutes.
  6. Toss crispy tofu in warm sauce.
  7. Garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Extra-firm tofu works best.
  • Pressing tofu improves crispiness dramatically.
  • Toss in sauce right before serving.
  • Reheat in oven or air fryer, not microwave.
